Chandon & Hotel Granduca Present Hail to the Chef

I have previously photographed events hosted by other brands in the Moët Hennessy umbrella including Hennessy Cognac, Moët & Chandon, and Belvedere Vodka. I'm happy that I can add Chandon to the list. :)

The event was the put on by Brilliant Lecture Series and hosted by the Hotel Granduca and refreshments were provided by Chandon. The featured speaker was former White House Chef Walter Scheib.

Here are a few of the photos I wanted to share with you:

Images from Seattle

The week after I returned from New York, James and I went to visit my friend Dan in Seattle.

We picked just the right time as it didn't rain a drop while I was there. Seattle is a truly beautiful place when the weather is so good. Here are a few photos I took while checking out the city. A good majority of these are from the UW campus (Dan's alma mater).

I went in to check out the very first Starbucks, but it was entirely too crowded...

I photographed a pretty cool event at the Hotel Granduca the day before I left for New York--I'll be posting about that tomorrow!

Evelyn & Jojo - The Day After in New York City

Thanks to Hurricane Ike, I've been without power for a little over a week! So this post is a little behind schedule. The day after their awesome wedding, the newlyweds and I went throughout the Big Apple and took even more photos.

Truth be told, we spent a few hours out and about and the scale of the city is so huge I still don't feel like we explored even 2% of our available options--wow!

I told Evelyn and Jojo in conversation that "you can't fake love"; well as you are about to see, these two are definitely in love and also affectionate as well. As a direct result of the fun I had with them, I'm already plotting for a return to New York--whether business or pleasure, it doesn't matter!

We went to Evelyn's Alma Mater, Columbia, to get some great shots also. The campus is absolutely beautiful.

Evelyn & Jojo's Wedding at Woodbury Country Club in New York

Evelyn found me through the photos I took for my sister's sorority at Howard University last year. After talking with her and exchanging e-mails, I knew we would be a good fit. For that reason, and the fact i'd get a chance to check out New York, I was really looking forward to their wedding date.

Being from out of town, it was huge to have someone local to help me get around, so I want to send a huge thanks to Ayesha for assisting me. In addition to providing some transportation, she contributed some great photos as well. It also happens that she is in the same sorority as Evelyn (and my sister) and knew many of the guests! Small world. :)

The wedding was at the gorgeous Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury, NY. The night before the wedding, there were tornadoes (NY gets tornadoes?!?) but the day of the wedding, the weather couldn't have been more beautiful; there wasn't a cloud in the sky. After the elegant ceremony, the couple and their guests proceeded to participate in one of the most lively receptions I've ever been a part of. I had a great time working the party and getting shots that reflected the energy of the day.

Here are some of my favorites...
